A physical manifestation of wounded parenting, generational trauma is passed onto a child through the giving of conditional love and imposed expectation. The rigid structure of the metal lattice instinctively evokes ideas of restriction and containment, yet the tarnished, work hardened material and the fact that the act of wrapping around something means to become the outermost, most vulnerable point of contact, reveals more about what it means to wrap around something—containing, but also protecting, holding, tightly embracing...

And may this realization lead to releasing, intertwining, transforming, becoming.
